More than 250 scientists from 47 countries took part in the 28th International Symposium on Public Relations Research on July 2-3.
The focus was on crisis and risk communication in the context of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. It was the largest meeting of its kind in the public relations field worldwide this year.
This time, the conference was digitally organised by the Centre for Marketing and Public Relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences in Ljubljana. The conference leader was Professor Dejan Verčič, a partner in the Herman & Partners group. He initially presented two international initiatives on engaging social science and communication skills in managing international crises. These are never only about health, but also about socialisation and communication.
