Herman & Partners and Arnoldvuga prepared a campaign for the Olympic Committee of Slovenia to celebrate the past and present successes of Slovenian athletes at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. “Competing at the Olympics is the dream of every athlete. An Olympic medal is the highest, most prestigious recognition for an athlete, who will forever go down in history as a legend. When we got the chance to create a campaign for our Olympians at the Tokyo Games, we remembered when we celebrated Olympic gold there many years ago. We felt that our athletes had already conquered Tokyo once, so this year we were returning for fresh victories.” As today’s youth like to say, “We’ve got this.” Herman & Partners and Arnoldvuga can say the same when it comes to Olympic awards. “So we’ve united the past medalists in a video,” Kodrič continued, “showing them passing on their knowledge and winning mentality to the new generation as it sets off on the hunt for medals and Olympic success. We were charged with designing the official Olympic advertising campaign which should include an invitation for fans to cheers us on. The first idea was the concept for the TV ad. In it, our Olympians in Ljubljana’s Tabor Hall tense their muscles, their bodies flush with sweat as they are illuminated by a single spotlight. Olympic legend Miro Cerar then emerges from the darkness while, behind him on a wall, we see a projection of his gold medal victory in Tokyo. He hands over a metaphorical baton of pride, victory and hope to our new Olympians. How? With a ball. Hand to hand. The visuals are augmented by original music composed for this ad by Peter Penko.

For sixteen years, the SPORTO Awards have been giving out prizes to the most successful sponsorship and marketing projects in sports throughout the Adriatic region (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia). Among all the outstanding campaigns, We’ve Got This! We’ve Got Tokyo was given the Rights Holder Award.
